Starting in Bishkek, the route leads to the beautiful Chon-Kemin National Park, known for its alpine forests and peaceful mountain scenery. The tour continues along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, one of the largest alpine lakes in the world, before reaching the historic town of Karakol.

One of the main highlights of the tour is the journey to the remote Enilchek Valley, crossing the dramatic Chon-Ashuu Pass (3,850 m). This wild mountain region offers views toward the legendary Khan Tengri Peak (7,010 m) and access to the impressive Enilchek Glacier.

Bishkek → Chon-Kemin National Park

Morning departure from Bishkek to the picturesque Chon-Kemin Valley. On the way visit the historic Burana Tower, one of the most important monuments of the Silk Road and the remains of the ancient Karakhanid city of Balasagun. After exploring the site and its open-air museum, continue the scenic drive to Chon-Kemin National Park. The valley is known for its rich biodiversity, alpine forests, and traditional Kyrgyz villages. In the afternoon enjoy a light hike along the valley slopes with beautiful views of the mountains and the Chon-Kemin River.

Chon-Kemin → Karakol (via Issyk-Kul North Shore)

After breakfast drive toward the eastern part of Issyk-Kul Lake along its scenic northern shore. Issyk-Kul is the second-largest alpine lake in the world and is surrounded by the dramatic Tien Shan mountains. On the way stop at Kok-Moinok Canyon, famous for its impressive sandstone formations and colorful landscapes. Continue to Cholpon-Ata for lunch before heading to Karakol, the cultural center of the Issyk-Kul region. In the afternoon visit Ichke-Jergez village to experience a traditional bread-making master class with a local family. Return to Karakol in the evening.

Karakol → Enilchek

After breakfast depart for the remote mountain settlement of Enilchek. The journey passes through dramatic high mountain landscapes and crosses Chon-Ashuu Pass (3,850 m), one of the highest passes accessible by vehicle in Kyrgyzstan. Enjoy panoramic views of the central Tien Shan range along the way. Enilchek was once a busy mining town but is now known as a mysterious “ghost town.” After arrival explore the area and visit the Kara-Tash hot springs, where you can relax surrounded by pristine mountain nature.

Enilchek Glacier Exploration

Today explore the spectacular landscapes around the Enilchek Glacier. After breakfast drive deeper into the valley toward the glacier region. The road is adventurous but offers incredible scenery. Weather permitting, enjoy views of Khan-Tengri Peak (7,010 m), one of the most famous and beautiful mountains in the Tien Shan range, as well as nearby Nansen Peak (over 5,600 m). From the end of the road take a short walk toward the tongue of the Enilchek Glacier. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this remote alpine environment before returning to the village. Relax again in the hot springs in the evening.

Enilchek → Karakol

After breakfast begin the return journey to Karakol via the same spectacular mountain road and the Chon-Ashuu Pass. After lunch in Karakol, continue to the Karakol Ski Base, located about 15 km from the city. From there take a lift or drive up to the Panorama Point (3,040 m) where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding Tien Shan mountains and alpine landscapes. Return to Karakol in the evening.

Karakol → Jeti-Oguz → Skazka Canyon → Bokonbaevo

After breakfast visit the famous Jeti-Oguz Gorge, known for its striking red sandstone formations called the “Seven Bulls.” According to legend, the rocks resemble seven giant bulls standing side by side. Nearby you will also see the romantic Broken Heart rock formation. After a short walk in the valley continue driving along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake to the unique Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon, famous for its colorful and fantastically shaped sandstone formations created by wind and erosion. Arrival in Bokonbaevo village in the evening.

Bokonbaevo → Kochkor → Bishkek

After breakfast depart toward Bishkek via Kochkor village, an important center of Kyrgyz handicrafts. After lunch continue to nearby natural attractions such as the Salt Cave and the scenic Ara-Kol lake area located in the mountains not far from Kochkor. In the afternoon drive back to Bishkek. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant.

  We offer hospitality local guest houses, homestays in the villages. In the cities Bishkek, Karakol you will have a hotel. The yurt stays at Song-Kul valley. All the accommodations have bathroom facilities (western toilet, hot shower) except the yurt camp accommodations (basic toilet conditions).

Yes. Participants can drive the 4×4 vehicles themselves if they have a valid driving license and basic driving experience. If you prefer, our experienced drivers can drive the vehicle for you.

No previous riding experience is required. The horses used for the tour are calm and suitable for beginners. Local guides will explain the basics before the ride.
