This 3-day cultural tour in Kyrgyzstan is designed for travelers who want to discover the country’s most famous highlights in a short time. The route combines nomadic traditions, historical monuments, and the spectacular landscapes around Issyk-Kul Lake, one of the largest alpine lakes in the world.
Starting from Bishkek, this journey takes you along both the southern and northern shores of Issyk-Kul, offering a rich mix of culture and nature.
You will explore the ancient Silk Road monument Burana Tower, experience traditional eagle hunting near Bokonbaevo, and stay overnight in a traditional yurt to experience authentic nomadic life.
The tour continues with visits to the colorful rock formations of Skazka Canyon and the famous red cliffs of Jeti-Oguz Gorge, some of the most scenic locations in Kyrgyzstan.
In Karakol, you will discover the cultural diversity of the region by visiting the wooden Dungan Mosque and the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral.
The journey ends with a visit to the ancient rock carvings at the Cholpon-Ata Petroglyphs before returning to Bishkek.

Bishkek → Bokonbaevo | Burana Tower & Eagle Hunting
Meet your guide in Bishkek and depart in the morning toward the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
On the way, visit the historic Burana Tower, an ancient Silk Road monument where you will have time to walk around and take photos.
Lunch will be at a traditional roadside café where you can try Kyrgyz dishes such as lagman, shashlik, and kattama bread.
In the afternoon, continue to Bokonbaevo for a traditional eagle hunting demonstration, one of the most famous nomadic traditions in Kyrgyzstan.
Dinner and overnight stay in a yurt camp near the lake.

Bokonbaevo → Karakol | Canyons & Cultural Experience
After breakfast, depart Bokonbaevo and continue along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake toward Karakol.
On the way, visit Skazka Canyon, known for its colorful rock formations, and stop at Jeti-Oguz Gorge, famous for the red rock formations called the Seven Bulls.
Upon arrival in Karakol, enjoy a short city tour including the wooden Dungan Mosque and the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Later, transfer to a nearby village to visit a local Kyrgyz family and learn about their traditional lifestyle. You will also participate in preparing traditional dishes together.
Return to Karakol for dinner and overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Day 3 – Karakol → Bishkek | Petroglyphs & Scenic Drive
After breakfast, depart from Karakol and drive back to Bishkek along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
On the way, visit the open-air museum of Cholpon-Ata Petroglyphs, where you can see ancient rock carvings and enjoy views of the lake.
Optional boat trips on Issyk-Kul Lake can be arranged depending on time and weather conditions.
Continue the drive to Bishkek. Arrival and end of the tour.
