Overview

Discover the dramatic mountain landscapes of eastern Kyrgyzstan with a flexible adventure tour starting from Karakol. This 3 days experience allows you to choose your preferred travel style: a traditional horse riding journey to Karakol Peak or an extreme 4x4 off-road expedition to the remote Sary-Jaz Valley.

The horse riding option takes you through the scenic Karakol Gorge in the breathtaking Terskey Ala-Too mountains. Riding across alpine meadows, pine forests, and mountain rivers, you reach a panoramic viewpoint at around 3,000 meters facing the majestic Karakol Peak (5,217 m). Overnight camping in the high mountains offers an authentic nomadic atmosphere and unforgettable sunrise views.

The off-road option leads you deep into the wild Sary-Jaz Valley via the spectacular Karkyra Valley. Traveling by powerful 4WD vehicle, you explore one of the most remote and untouched areas near the Chinese border, surrounded by dramatic peaks and vast open landscapes. The journey includes an overnight stay in a traditional shepherd house, providing insight into local mountain life.
